I have shared with my parents – thankfully both are in good physical health and continue to demonstrate strong mental function– as well as with my sister and her partner – both in their 50s like me – a bit about my experience in Healthy Minds for Life.

I believe that Healthy Minds for Life is an important study. There is growing research that shows the earlier that cognitive and memory issues can be identified, the higher the probability that the progression may be slowed down or even reversed. Therefore, as greater numbers and a wider variety of adults agree to take part in the Healthy Minds for Life – from different age groups and cultural backgrounds – health care professionals will have a more accurate picture of how a healthy adult brain operates when attempting to diagnose and create treatment plans for individuals with whom they work.
