Each May, the nation observes Older Americans Month, championed by the Administration for Community Living. The 2024 theme, “Powered by Connection,” outlines the important links between social interactions and older adult well being. Older Americans Month acknowledges older Americans contributions to our society and highlights the importance of combating isolation and loneliness among this population by encouraging meaningful relationships and proactive community engagement. Join us in honoring older adults by promoting events, sharing resources, connecting with older family members and friends and fostering an inclusive environment for all ages.
